0-4-0ST number 18 built by Stephen Lewin of Poole, in 1877 it is believed, (subsequently preserved at Beamish Open Air Museum) is doing the job for which she was retained at Seaham Harbour due to her low axle weight. This was working the breakwater maintenance train, which includes a couple of chaldron wagons seen here on 2/7/1964. Photo Tony Bowles
