Former Norte 0-6-0 number 030-2398 'Mieres', built by Koechlin (897/1864), stands in a yard at Mieres where she worked transfer traffic between the steelworks & the RENFE - May 1960. This was one of 7 engines built for the Palencia - Ponferrada Railway which was taken over by the Asturias-Galicia-León Railway in 1880. This in turn was absorbed into the Norte in 1890.
