Ex M.Z.A. 0-8-0 number 040-2369, built by Maffei (2319/1903) who constructed the whole class of 40 engines, stands in the yard being coaled by grabline bucket at Madrid Atocha shed on 2/5/1963. These locomotives were originally main line freight power until replaced by 4-8-0s from 1912 onwards and were then used on trip & shunting work, although some members of the class were transferred to the former Great South of Spain Railway between Alcantarilla & Baza.
